CAD Designer (Parametric CAD modeling w/ Solidworks)

Title: CAD Designer (Parametric CAD modeling w/ Solidworks) Location: Pleasanton, CA (onsite with Hybrid possibly considered ) Contract Length: 2 options - 3 months @ 40hours a week or 6 months @ 20 hours a week (available during Regular hours) Ideal Start date: 3/9 Duties: Parametric CAD design of models and large assemblies using SolidWorks Create drawings with the help of Tolerance analysis and GD&T using SolidWorks Mechanism design and troubleshooting Animation creation of 3d parts Printing parts on 3d printer Assembly and troubleshooting of the parts and assembly as needed Occasionally testing Fixture and gauge design Inspection of the parts Sometimes project work may be assigned based on needs Skills: 5-10 years of experience in CAD Parametric CAD modeling experience in SolidWorks, min 5 years, expert level. Can apply Model-Based design in CAD. Drawing creation in SolidWorks with GD&T, min 5 years, expert level. Can handle complex CAD design and modeling. Have significant experience dealing with large assemblies and reference controls. Can understand the mechanism for refinement. Have experience with DFM to apply features related to molding and tooling. Nice to have understood the CTQ (Critical to Quality) with the help of DFMEA. Nice to have fixture and gauge design experience. Diploma / Polytechnic with a minimum of 8 years of experience Or Bachelor s with a minimum of 5 years of experience
